Casus belli

It is inevitable with the development of technology that there will come a point in time when any free man might if he so desired destroy the world he lived in. There are only way to deal with this situation either man must be prevented from attaining the ability to commit the act or man must lose the desire to commit the act. In essence he must either be allowed his freedom and the world altered to prevent the occurrence of destructive impulses or he must be stripped of his freedom so that he can not destroy anything even should he want to. We must choose between freedom and free or slavery and security.

The only reasonable choice is slavery. To rely on the ephemeral whims of other is the plan of a fool. We must walk the path of certainty and minimal risk. Freedom will lead us to death and any fate is better than that. Any price we must pay for our survival is treasure bought cheap.

Every one must be controlled, to leave any beyond our reach is to invite a greater risk than if we had not sought to control. For many more will desire to destroy us and our world when forced to life under another's control than under their own. No half measures can be accepted. Any compromise invalidates the entire endeavor.

There will be discomforts and sacrifices in the beginning. But these we must endure and accept until we can change ourselves enough to avoid them. We can some day make man not only accept his chains but come to need and even enjoy them. We need not suffer forever to save ourselves.

To adapt to our new world we will need the very thing which threatens us technology. Only with its tools and powers can we build a world where the lash doesn't sting. Only through its use can we assure that no one is secretly working against us. We must know what can be don't to assure that it isn't.

We must unify and organize ourselves into the great machine. Its birth will save us. A savior of our own making who will remake us in its image.
